Hi. I have some question. I know this is a new bike. But you guys have all the experience on it. 1st. Would this bike make a good beginner bike.
2nd. Does it have enough power to handle a heavy rider? I don't know if I would look goofy on it since I'm on the heavy side. Almost (300lbs) i'll have to check that out in the dealer.
Thanks in advance.

This twin has plenty of off idle torque and mid-range to haul your 300 pounds around. It's a good beginner bike because it's light, has a relatively short seat height, and power delivery is
pretty tame if you don't romp on the throttle. Torque curve is long and flat which is also good for beginners.

You'll find the suspension a little soft for your weight but you can always upgrade that if you want with aftermarket parts.

An FZ07 is a pretty small motorcycle for a 300 pound rider. It does have enough power....but if you ever rode with a passenger, you would be over the 386 pound maximum load rate. I'd pass and search for a larger SIZE motorcycle with about the same horsepower.
