The Lone Star Rally in Galveston, Texas will be Nov. 6-9 this year.

I've been a couple times, and I can tell you there's nothing better than cramming 500,000 bikes and bikers on an island that's about 27 miles long and 2 miles wide.

Highlights will include:

Heavy police presence
Price gouging by hotels and vendors
Extreme over crowding
"Bikers" that made the 50 mile trip from Houston with their bikes on a trailer
Sitting in bumper to bumper traffic till your bike overheats
Women in their 50's flashing their racks
Guys in biker "costumes", but come Monday morning will be back at the office in a suit and tie.
Journey will perform, but will contain NONE of the original members, (Seriously).

So make your plans now to attend.

Got up this morning and rode to the rally, 60 mile ride in perfect weather.

Rally was probably 90% cruisers and choppers.

Every bike rally has a motorized bar stool parked somewhere.

You can never have too many skulls.

I took a pic of every bike I liked.

I like choppers.

For Sale: 1978 Gold Wing $2500..........good luck buddy.

Some nice looking trikes.

Did I mention I like choppers?

Two stroke

This guy kept buzzing overhead all day until his engine began sputtering..........we didn't see him again.

Poor guy, someone stole his headlight.

I like V-Rods

Lynyrd Skynyrd rocked the crowd............................OK, it's not really Lynyrd Skynyrd, but these guys did a decent job of ripping
off most of Skynyrds songs.

Someone who evidently has more balls than I do rode their Grom to the rally.

If you don't know what bike this is the Kenny Roberts racing stripes should give it away.

More choppers

Wonder how horns would look on the FZ?

Looks like some cool stuff down there. I contemplated riding down on Sunday but I knew that traffic back from Galveston was gonna be brutal so i worked on the Jeep instead.
