Anyone installed a bike alarm on your fz 07? and which one ? .I had one on my v strom 650 which I installed myself and removed before trade, but looks to bulky for the fz07 this bike is so light two people can easily load it in a van and be gone in less then a minute.More like a deterrent better then not having one at all.Check out this videos broad daylight the two individuals had no problem lifting an honda cbr600rr bye bye honda.

Longest video ever!!! And anticlimactic. I give it 2 stars, and only because of the dramatic ending. I Intend to get an alarm. My buddy is an East Hartford cop and says he sees this thing all the time. They break them down and stuff them into 50 gallon drums and ship them to Puerto Rico or some place like that. I live in a pretty nice complex, but I don't know if that makes me safer or a bigger target. Alarm it is.
What kind of alarm do you guys recommend? I was thinking a disc lock like this one.

XENA XX15-SS Stainless Steel Disc Alarm by Xena http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0067MFQ1S/ref=cm_sw_r_udp_awd_Qksdub0V8RA47

But I was also considering this set up.

Gorilla 9000 Motorcycle Alarm with Remote Transmitter by Gorilla http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00J3QM4SS/ref=cm_sw_r_udp_awd_Arsdub19NXAXR

I just don't know if I want to have the ugly cable runs here and there. Unless there are no cable runs? I've obviously never had either set up. Either way, I don't know which one performs better or which set up is more effective as a deterrent.
Opinions?
The gorilla 9000 looks small enough to fit anywhere on the bike, that was going to be my option then I found this http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00APRSI6G/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I Got three different bikes so can be easily used on all three and different applications since it is removable just got to find a spot not easily accessible to disarm it and to turn it off when not in use.
Wow, that's dirt cheap. Let us know what you think. I ended up going with the Xena. I want something that would act as a visual deterant as well. The thing is ultra sensitive. Maybe a little too much. I've set it off a few times just trying to get the key in it. But I'm not saying that's a bad thing. It fits nicely in the tail seat box. The only down side is the little extra time you have to spend getting it out and putting it on, but totally worth it if it saves my bike.

So I'm guessing the 15 mm XX15-SS fits the FZ-07 perfectly? I'm glad your link took me to amazon canada lol I work at YMCA for a long shift and with lots of weird people and teenagers coming in and around... i'm scared of my bike's safety lol.
Look up SPY 5000m usually under 100 bones and has 2 remotes, bump , tilt and proximity alarm. loudest siren ive herd from motorcycle alarm, Im going with this one when i get my fz07 next month... My cbr250 got stolen 5 months after purchase.. not cool... Loud alarm would have saved my bike as i watched the guys drive away with it cuz i was to late to stop them.
i just installed the Gorilla 9000 system on mine not even 30min ago. Haven't had the chance to adjust the sensitivity of the shock sensor yet but the tilt sensor is working fine. VERY LOUD. Got myself a spot trace gps tracker as well... trying to see where i should put it. Now i'm looking into getting a Xena as a visual deterrent. Can't seems to find which model to use on the rear disc using their template finder thingy... anyone can help?
i am going to be purchasing the spot trace tracking device, great idea, tracking device and alarm still cheaper then some bigger company alarms! awesome setups
