I purchased the motodynamic tail light. Haven't installed it yet but that thing is badass! Why would you install rear turn signals though if you plan on the integrated taillight?

Asj, what mirrors and end bars are u running?
I'm running these bars and these mirrors. Not to sure how i feel about the mirrors, I might switch them out with some different ones in the near future

I ran rear signals because I don't have the motodynamic kit yet and I don't want to get rear-ended when i'm trying to make a turn. They're necessary for me until I get an integrated kit

your post..(edited it out)
Dude, those bars look AWESOME on there. I'm definitely picking those up. I'm waiting to get that integrated tail light as well. Hopefully, if you haven't gotten it and installed it already, you can take some good detailed pics and write a little how to on it. I'm slapping that thing on and ripping my fender crap off ASAP once I get it. I plan on getting those bars now too, not sure about the mirrors. I don't like how far they stick out, because I do a LOT of filtering.

Keep postin' pics! I can look at fz7 porn all day! lol

Just ordered the bars! Looking for mirrors now >: )

This is how I feel as of lately. My shoulders are too wide for the stock mirrors to be effective without me leaning out of the way to see behind me. Also, the round mirrors don't complement the extreme angles on this bike. I'm still trying to decide on what i'm going to do for the mirrors on this bike, you have any suggestions?

I'm waiting on the tinted motodynamic kit to be back in stock and then I will order it. I'll definitely take detailed pictures of the process if there is demand for that.

No suggestions as far as mirrors yet. I think any cheap ones will be fine as long as you can see. And I'm at the same point concerning the light, gota wait for it to be in stock. I'll take pics as well of my install. But I'd definitely like to see pics of it in case you get it before me.

Hey I got some questions regarding the bars:

How in christ's holy name did you change out your bars by yourself? I picked up the same bars, and am having a hell of a time swapping them out. I got the old bars and everything off, but putting everything else back on is driving me nuts.

Did you drill holes for the locators on the ignition, blinker and throttle clusters?
Did you tighten the bars into position first, then put everything else on besides the clutch and throttle?

I can get everything on but it's painfully obvious that I'm going to need to adjust some cables. I was under the impression it would be much easier than this. Thinking I'm going to have to put my stock bars back on and take this to a shop to have them installed :(

I changed my bars to the ultra lows and it was kind of a PITA. I drilled the locator holes, but didn't get them quite right the first shot (you know the old saying "measure twice, cut once", well, apparently I needed to measure a couple more times. In the end though, it really wasn't that bad, and I really like the result. For me, the bars feel lower enough that it is just a more natural position than the "ape hangers" that came with it.

Hey I got some questions regarding the bars:
Hey Shitty Bill,

I actually sanded down the locator tabs and have had no issues with them rotating on the handlebars. I figured if they ever did start moving, some 3M would hold it in place nicely.

I did tighten them down onto the bike first before affixing the other goodies onto the bars. It took me a couple tries to get the bars where I wanted them, but everything worked out beautifully in the end. Sorry to hear yours gave you so many issues.

If you have any other questions, please let me know

Ok yeah that's what I was thinking. I haven't noticed anything moving around either. So I think I'll unscrew and sand as well. I do have one question though; did you feel like you had to "re-learn" your clutch friction zone? I noticed I was revving out between gear changes a bit. I adjusted the rotation on my clutch, and my lever, but still had to kind of re-learn it.

And what, if anything, did you do with your cables? Just let them go where they need to go, or any adjustment at the bars or further into the body of the bike?

Other than that I got the bars on and they're looking good. I really like how much further forward it makes me sit. Feel much better than before, much more like a street stance than a dirt bike. My throttle wrist was slightly sore but that could just be from riding in a new position.

But man.. now the arduous task of finding decent mirrors for this bike. I do like the look of the bar ends but really hate to increase the side to side length of the bars, because I filter a lot living here in the san fernando valley areas. I found some that were bar-ends, but then rotate up and over the handles.. idk though.

Was also thinking of taking the bars to a shop to see if they could weld in some threaded inserts for the stock bar ends.

Slightly, but really i attribute that to the new levers I received and all the subsequent adjustments I did to them.

And what, if anything, did you do with your cables?
The only adjustments I made to the cable(s) was when I loosened the clutch cable down by the engine to remove some of the tension on the cable so that i could swap levers. Once I had the new lever mounted, I tightened it back to where it was.

Yeah I was looking into some like these, they look like you can rotate them either in or out.

That's my only gripe with these bars, but I feel like that would work out well

Bonus: shitty gif

Asjkhadfg - How do you find the Ermax windscreen? Does it help reduce some of the wind around the 110km/hr (70mph) range? This is the only thing that makes me miss my old bikes is how much wind resistance you get right around highway speeds.

I got it from here. It reallly helps a lot with wind abover 70mph. I've gone 120 ducked behind the windscreen and felt very little buffeting
