Now that is VERY interesting. I'll be watching this thread. Tell us about the engine specs. Any change from stock bore size or cam profiles?

sweet, the more info and pics the better, especially the engine building. Also dyno runs, with the changes.

Good luck.

As soon as I got a ride on the -07 I thought that it's engine would make a good 'dirttracker' and I am excited to see that so many are in the works. Any new info or pictures when possible would be great and do you have an idea what the engine package weighs? Mark

You're killing us here, any answers to previous questions in regards to engine specs., bore/stroke changes, cams etc., power output as delivered from Yamaha Racing? Anything? Powder coat's nice but not very exciting, how about a picture of the frame? Engine weight out of the box? Pleeeez!!!

the new engine is getting modified
by Scott powersports,it is not modified
as much as the GNC1 class(expert)
My son Dalton just turn 16 y.o.and
is a rookie in GNC2(pro).
GNC2 rule crankshaft remains OEM
so is bore & stroke
So it should get hi comp. Pistons,
head work and custom grind camshaft
from sponsor web cams.
I know web cams are working with
Yamaha motors and have at least
3 different grinds they are testing

FZxgame,
Didn't mean to sound pushy but after your initial post I've been impatiently waiting to hear of your progress, thank you for the pictures and info, exciting stuff. What a lucky son you have, I wish you guys the best and now that I have an idea of GNC2 engine rules it will be interesting to hear what GNC1 rules allow and what the Yamaha can tolerate. Keep us posted, will be interested in hearing how the bike does on the dyno and of course, rider impressions on the track...Mark

PS..that shock looks a bit whimpy

The frame took longer than I expected
but at 35 pounds swingarm included
it is art work and high quality craftmanships.
the engine is at Scott Powersports of
Coopersburg,Pa.and just got tear down, the bike has to be ready for Springfield mile on
memorial day weekend,
