I don't know for sure, but my guess would be that it's an input to the ECU.

Hey guys,
just wondering where the clutch switch goes to on our bikes. cant really follow it (too hard to see) wanting to add the launch control feature on my power commander and hoping to tap into it.

yep managed to find the same colour at the ecu
