My CRG Levers have arrived!!! Install tomorrow. I'll let you know how it turns out. These are the R1 shorty levers ordered from CRG Direct in their swap meet section they're the previous model so they're discounted to $49.95 a piece. Ordered together S&H was only $6 and took a week from CA to CT.

Do it! It adds an extra 5hp, lol. In this case I'd rather pay for a name knowing that I'm getting a quality product that has a lot of people vouching for them. Don't get me wrong, I still buy the bag cereal to save dollar or two when I can and agree it the same stuff. But I wanted the piece of mind on this purchase, which is worth a couple extra bucks to me. To each his own, right?

Excellent man, glad everything turned out good for you. A lot better than it did for me... (gripe session to follow)

FACT! R1 Brake levers are NOT compatible with your FZ-07.

I initially wanted to get really belligerent about this, but decided the fault is my own. I've been reading forums for years now and you think I would have learned my lesson on believing everything I read on them more than once. But hey, some people like to cut themselves, I like to throw money away on stupidity. Enough said.

FACT! R1 clutch levers are compatible with your FZ-01. And they look and feel great I might add.

So as you can see there is not a big difference in the distance to the grip. I was a little disappointed in this since this was my main objective. But it is easier to get more than just 2 fingers on it now so that's a fair trade off. I have smaller hands so it was an issue before.
So in my opinion this is mostly a cosmetic mod and does little to improve the comfort and functionality. But for some, the little might be enough. For me the cosmetics aren't even that great since my bike looks lop sided now, until I find out which brake lever fits the bike. Worst thing of it all is that since I ordered the discontinued version, it is non-refundable.

Stefano225, did you get these from MadHornet?
I order the one's from MadHornet - the red ones as well, and your red looks great! Except I got the "foldable, adjustable" ones, since I wasn't sure how "short" I wanted them (therefore adjustable), and since I know the pains of crashing now (therefore foldable). o_O
I ask if they're MadHornets, because MadHornets come from China as well. They had great reviews, so I'm hoping it's a good product.

As for FZ074Me, I'm so sorry man! That really blows. Sometimes shit just happens - and all we can do is shovel it and learn. :D

I'm not sure if they are the same or not? Mine are adjustable length is what I meant, as well as adjustable distance. I have not received them yet, but when I get them on I will post pics and a review here.
I purchased CNC levers for about $60 a set. Solid product and all black.
