FT ECU Flashtune help, anyone?

So, I decided to go with the FT ECU Flashtune kit. On the surface, it looks like an easy deal. Three wires to the ECU and a plug in to Laptop software. From there, you can Flash away, and change certain parameters. Well, the easy install turned out to be an issue. And, I'm wondering if anyone here is familiar with this kit.

Basically, you pull the connector off the ECU, unlock the pins, find three empty slots and stick three wires in. Simple. Except, the empty slots have a plastic dummy plug that I though I could just lift out with a pick. Turns out, I pushed them deeper into the slot and now cannot get them out. Damn.

It's always something. Anyway, anyone have any experience with this?

Thanks!

Gary

This guy has a guide here. I've not installed myself as I'm still saving up to buy exhaust + flashtune at the same time, but the guide seems thorough.

Thanks.
Holy Moly! Finally figured out how to get the tune completed. By the way, the video shows the wrong location for ground. With the Yoshi's, DNA filter and tune, this bike rocks! Better throttle response, and I love the sound of that big filter sucking in air!

I think the FTECU is a much better option than a piggy back controller. And you don't have to go around looking for fuel maps! It's all there. But it isn't cheap.

Do you actually just find any empty pins for the three wires? or does it matter which pins they go in?
RickyBobby, sorry, just saw your reply. There are three specific empty pins you use. I read the pins wrong first time out. Fortunately, the customer service people were very helpful. It's a little tricky getting the wires in properly.
Where did you ground the wire since you mentioned that the video shows it wrong.

Hey I just got the fc ecu hooked up. I was going to go with an imported map from power commander, then the guy from flash tune said use the unrestricted map as a start. What map did you use and how do you find it please
Sorry about the late reply. The basic answer is I really don't remember. Been a couple of years now. I just did what the guys at FC ECU told me to use.
