I am living in GTA, Canada. I got my FZ-07 a month ago. It has almost 1700 km on it at the moment. One thing that I noticed was that anytime I go above 80 km/h wind becomes an issue and it was becoming an irritation so I started looking for windscreens. I didn't want to get a touring screen, and some of the sporty shields just wont do it. So I went with something that was in between.
Since I live in GTA I didn't want to order something from States, shipping and duties alone wasn't worth it. Also I like supporting reasonable local vendors. I wanted to ordered a Givi Windshield from aviciouscycle.ca. After getting in touch with them I was told that Givi is on back order till June 30, but they had something similar Kappa windshield. They told me that its the same vendor, same factory, everything is the same except for the logo. I dont care much about the logo so I ordered one. After taxes and everything it came down to $145 approx. Btw these are the same guys who run http://www.twistedthrottle.ca/.

The screen is nice. Installation was very easy, came with all the instructions and the hardware. Didn't do anything to make it, it just worked out of the box.

It helps alot on the highway speeds.

Next thing to install is fender eliminator from Vagabond and some case sliders from T-rex.

I like the M4 slip-on exhaust but don't have the budget for it, so maybe next year, unless I find a good deal on it.

Edit:
- Uploaded day shots of Givi Screen

Edit (July 16/2015):
- Installed Vagabond Fender Eliminator. Kept the stock signals and number plate light (Uploaded Pictures)

Edit (July 25/2015):
- Installed T-Rex case-sliders and engine covers. Not really sure if I like them or not .. but they blend in with the bike nicely. (Added Pictures)

I can't convince myself to get a windscreen. I've ridden constantly up to 80 miles an hour. Which is 130ish kmh for you. Somewhat used to it.

Good to know others' experiences.

I was going to order a windscreen before i even get my bike, but then... I'm used to DS-ing it on the freeway, so I have a feeling it's gonna be relatively quite smooth compared to what I'm used to...

After riding it to work for a bit. I can say that it makes a good amount of difference at least for me. I am 5'10 and wind ends up hitting me on the upper chest area. Before I was getting blasted by wind all around. Also if I bring my head closer to the tank, almost half a feet above from the tank, I don't feel any amount of wind, but it looks funny riding like that :)

Ah yes! The classic free DIY aerodynamics upgrade... :)

How long's your ride to work? I'm planning to commute too...
It's about an hour long from house to downtown, but not sure what kind of effect Panam games would have on the comute. I work around downtown Toronto area
Wanted to comment on M4 slip-on. I don't think you can put a slip-on on FZ07 unless you cut the pipes. There are full exhaust systems that are cheaper than M4 slip-on out there. Check out Scorpion stainless steel, IXIL (you can get a discount from this website; there's a thread for it), I personally like RoadsItalia (they have 6 different systems for FZ07), even Delkevic makes good systems for FZ07. I haven't gotten an after market exhaust yet, but i am seriously thinking about it (something about $300 PC that puts me off).
As far as your windscreen goes, it looks amazing from the side, kind of blends in with the bike. Front view is a different story. Looks big. Maybe it looks this way on the picture only. I've been thinking about Puig sport smoke one from Revzilla, even added to my wish list (they are out of it at this time), but not sure if i want to alter naked look. The wind is a problem at high speeds (my neck muscles sometimes struggle to keep my head on my shoulders (literally) when going above 80mph), but i don't ride much on highways, rather i prefer 45-50 mph roads with twisties, and my ride to work lies mostly through residential areas and roads with lots of traffic lights, so the wind is manageable.
By the way, have you thought about frame and axle sliders?

@genetsutsik Ya you are right the wind screen looks a bit big from the front, puig would be nice, since its not that wide. From the front it looks a bit like suzuki or honda. It does blend in from the side though. But it makes a huge difference on highway speeds, I am planning to go on meets and having a proper screen would help with all that travelling. If you like the naked look then then I would suggest puig too, it's nice and sleek. I will try to post some pictures of the windscreen during the day time so you will get a better idea of what it looks like.

I looked at the ixil exhaust and like the sound it makes but I dont like the way it looks. Also I am not sure, after changing the whole exhaust system, if I would need the power commander or do some kind of tuning. That is why I was going with M4 and just cutting the exhaust and replacing it. Also its 595 US on this site that like 749.1645 Canadian. Where as M4 is just 509 Canadian. (http://www.motostarz.ca/filter-by-b...-system-for-2014-2015-yamaha-fz-07-mt-07.html)

I am getting t-rex sliders and engine covers. I will be picking them up from US on the weekend, I got them shipped there, otherwise shipping to Canada is pretty darn expensive.
This is what I am talking about:( I got it for 294 Canadian, I think the price went up recently)

@tinyhook Check out RoadsItalia exhausts. They are cheap and delivery isn't that expensive. I really like them, especially PROJSIX and DoubleFire models.Nice videos on youtube as well. But yes, you would need PC and maybe sport filter, so it is additional $400 (CAD or USD). I actually thought about it a bit longer and decided to stay stock. My stock exhaust doesn't sound too bad. Don't know what i did to it, but when riding, it sounds grunty and not to quiet. Plus i ordered RS Taichi jacket for $600, so there went my exhaust budget hahahaha. By the way, are you planning on working on the exhaust yourself or take it to the shop? If shop, how much would it go for, labor wise? I mean, cutting the pipes isn't something ordinary.
That sliders and covers combo looks great and, if sold separately, could be more expensive than what it is priced for now. I am not mechanically savvy, so i have no idea what some of those things are and how to screw everything in myself. But i like details, especially FZ 07 logo. I just received MT 07 decals from Spain, took 2 weeks to get. Don't know if it would look ok having MT 07 on rims and FZ 07 on the frame. But then again, who cares?!?! Have not put decals on rims yet. Wanted to work on this on the weekend, but found a nail lodged in my back tire. So i now i need to replace a tire and it will take some time.

I uploaded some day shot of Givi screen to the original post.
Oh many sorry to hear about your tire ... that really sucks ... I live in a construction zone too ... and I will be pretty pissed off if I find a nail in my tire.
Same here I bought HJC RPHA10 Monster Lorenzo helmet which was close to 600$ and Leather Alpine star jack with mesh which was close to 500. So after that I decided to buy the exhaust next year. Right now I don't mind the exhaust too, its alright.

About the labour for installing parts, I asked my dealer and they told me 250$ for the labour, they said they will charge 2 hours labour for installing the sliders. They quoted me 100 for installing the screen(I went ahead and installed it my self, it was very easy came with all the instructions and even the allen key for the bolts, took me about 1/2 hour). But to be honest there are plenty of videos on youtube showing how to install these sliders. The only trick is install it one bolt at a time so you don't mess up the engine mounts. Besides that I dont think there is any crazy science to it. You just need some patience and you can get it done.

I dont have the tools to cut exhaust and I dont know how to do welding. So I will most likely take to my car mechanic for that, he would be able to do the cutting and welding and I will put it on myself. Most of the people who bought the full exhaust system usually put it on by themselves.

Wow, 250 for sliders?! Does it really take 2 hours to install and 100 for the screen?! This is crazy, it is more than the screen itself.

If you don't want to mess with the motor mount bolts check out www.vagabondmotorsports.com sliders. They don't require you to remove the bolts. I have them and I love them, very good quality.

Just got these, too. Very happy.

Thank You. I saw these before, but i really wanted something with FZ-07 design or logo......... but, i have just ordered Vagabond sliders :) Thank You for the suggestion. I just wish there were some circle form FZ-07 stickers out there so i can put them on these sliders.
@rcoop thats pretty nice setup you got there ... quick question that red tape that you had on your rims, is it custom Taylor33 or some other brand? Also what size tape did you get? I am thinking of doing that to my rims.

@genetsutsik I also got my t-rex sliders with red fz-07 logo .. will put them on and post the pics once I get some time. Also the more I look at IXIL exhaust the more I like it, its growing on me. It sounds fantastic too
@tinyhook By the way, regarding tapes and decals, try these guys http://www.racevinyl.eu/yamaha-mt-07-fz-07/. They are in Tenerife in Spain, but delivery time isn't so bad, about 2-3 weeks, by mail (you will receive large envelope). I ordered speed edition reflective decals for MT 07. I already have them, just have not had a chance to put them on. I will do it after i get my bike from the shop. They look amazing. And with $/Euro conversion, they are like 22 USD, or ~ 25 CAD.
I got vagabond sliders.I had a gift card from Amazon and T-Rex didn't have your sliders for sale on Amazon and i wasn't happy about spending over a hundred out of the pocket. Besides, it would have cost additional $$$ for labor. Vagabonds i can put on myself
As far as IXIL, it is an amazing system, but i for some reason now like RoadsItalia, even though i decided to stay stock at least for one more year.
@genetsutsik I am also staying stock this year .. RoadsItalia is also a good option ... hopefully by next year there would be many more.. next year I am thinking of an ECU flash and an exhaust change ... for this year I am doing cheap cosmetic mods .. there are some good instructions of fz07.org forums
I ordered the m4 slip on. Should arrive this week. Saw a video on how to install and I don't believe you have to weld anything, just cut the original and then bolt it on.

I think the exhaust has to be the first major mod you do cuz getting that sound makes riding twice as enjoyable.

I don't mind your windscreen. Doesn't ruin the naked look too bad in my opinion... Still on the fence about getting one though. You get used to the wind.
nice ... M4 was my first choice, its a nice exhaust, but IXIL is growing on me and I think next year I will get it with a tune. If you dont mind post an install thread or some pictures once you install it.
