Hello all. My name is Vern and I've been around motorcycles since 1971. Saying it that way doesn't make me sound as old as saying 43 years. I've been a Journeyman Electrician since 1980 and even did a stint back in 2003 until 2006, selling motorcycles for a living.
I presently own a few bikes and have had several liter bikes, several 600cc supersports and have settled on an FZ09 for the street, an ST1300 for long distance/more relaxed riding, and a CBR 600RR dedicated track bike. My wife and I both enjoy riding and we are both Instructors with Sportbike Track Time in the Southern Region. She has a new FZ07 in Rapid Red on order and that will be replacing her 600RR street bike eventually. She also rides a dedicated 600RR on the track and then we have a little Yamaha Zumo 50cc for a pit bike.
We live in E. TN and still very much enjoy riding in the beautiful mountains of this area of the country. There are so many great roads in this area and we are blessed to be able to live here and enjoy not only the great roads, but the friendly people and the laid back pace of life here in one of the most beautiful places in the area.
Some of you will probably recognize me from the FZ09.org forum....triplethreat over there, and doublethreat over here. As the wife's new FZ07 gets mods done to it and so on, I will try to report as much info as I can and hopefully can be a valued contributor here.
Stay safe and see ya' out there.
