I'm moving from NM to CA over the summer.

Been riding dirt a while, and have a little experience on the street with an old 250 cc.

I currently rough it on the streets with a little dual sport that I love, but, I do miss the oomph of my old street bike. Been drooling over the FZ07 for a couple weeks now, and will need a moto for a regular 50 mile commute (one way, twice a day, 3-4 days a week), and of course for the new and fun twisties I'll be living around in Ventura County.

I'm curious about OTD prices, and whether I can buy an FZ07 out here and bring it in to CA to avoid all the extra fees they apparently love charging out there! (I've PMed a couple of you about that... thanks in advance).

Anyway, I love to ride, and my whole fam does, and now I'm teaching my own kids and fiance to ride, too. (Also a great reason to hang on to my little dual sport!).

I paid 8200 otd, in GA you now pay your Tag taxes when you buy a new vehicle or bike when you buy it. Not at the DMV.

Also had a helmet thrown in, and all of the "fees" my helmet was 220 bucks and all of the taxes and fees gobbled up another grand. I think I did alright.
