So after I got a new helmet, I didn't feel like mounting the original mount system for my contour roam camera onto it. Because it was so big and made the camera stick out so far. I modified the mount and epoxied it to my helmet, and it was on there solid. Until I got up to about 96mph. Here's the video of the first test ride with it, and it subsequently flying off my helmet. Enjoy
SO.. As a result of this absolute failure, I looked at different options and found JBWELD Plasti-Weld putty. It says it's not good for "structural purposes", but I took a good gob of it and made a sort of base connected to my helmet and the camera mount, and let it cure overnight. And it feels SOLID. Much more solid than the epoxy I used, which was heavy duty shit. I'm mounting and running the mic cable right now, and I took off the stupid foam piece around my mic. So that annoying noise won't be there anymore hopefully.
Here's a video after the re-mount and mic fix.
Pictures of the helmet mount below. I will be matching the color. Helmet I'm using is a 707 Vendetta.
