When I got into street motorcycling 12 years ago, I was over 40 and was shopping for my first street bike, a 2004 Triumph Speed 4. I figured Geico and Progressive would be cheap, as they advertise everywhere, including at m/c races. Needless to say, I was shocked at how much they wanted for a mature rider with a flawless driving record. I shopped around and found a little company called McGraw Insurance/Pacific Specialties, based right here in SoCal. HALF of what the aforementioned quoted me. Check 'em out, and, no, I do NOT work for or represent them in any way. Just trying to save some of you a buck or two.

I tried to go through Allstate, home and auto through them so I thought I'd get a break, and they wanted to charge me 600 for LIABILITY. F that, called a buddy of mine that has been riding for years and he said he had McGraw. A phone call later, 400 for full coverage. 1st time rider. Great company too. Now in my 3rd year of riding, I'm only at 250.
