good morning, I actually own a Yamaya Fazer 8 and I'm about to change for the FZ-07. The reason for this choice is, first of all, cheap price , 2nd: want a 2-cyl for more low end torque, 3nd: like naked bike. The FZ07 seems to be one of the best choice. BUT the only thing that scare me is the power difference between my Fazer 8 vs the FZ07. For motorcyclists who had a stronger bike before and switch for the FZ07, how was the transition???? Thank you

I didn't go straight from more powerful bikes to my FZ-07, so take this with a grain of salt.

I have owned several more powerful bikes in the past, but, you can keep 'em.
The FZ-07 I ride today has a great combination of light weight, small size, and well-placed power delivery.
Even the sound and vibes are great.

I my opinion, the only time you'd miss any horsepower is if you want to race more powerful bikes on a flat, wide-open, boring road like an Interstate highway.

I could not have said it better.

I agree! I went from a 1000RR to a 600RR, both on the street and on the track. Then I decided to go with a nekkid bike and bought an FZ09. At the time I bought it, the FZ07 wasn't out yet, but I'm loving the 09. My wife went from a 600RR to a FZ07 and she absolutely loves it.

I still had my YZF 600 for a couple months after I got my FZ, went from about 95hp to 70hp, I didn't care, my speed demon days are behind me.

My old room mate and I used to ride the Houston freeways like we had a death wish, I'm just glad I'm still alive. At least I have some torque now.

It's not so much about speed for me, it's about how much fun the bike is to ride, my Busa gave me no sense of speed because it was so capable, I am enjoying my bikes so much more now I own a Bonneville and an MT07 and love them both
