Your rear turn signals are just that....turn signals, not running lights. Rear lights are required by Federal law to be Red, unless they are turn signals or back up lights, which can only be lighted when the vehicle is in reverse gear....which of course doesn't apply to motorcycles. How will they see you? Answer....your taillight is on there for a purpose!

But like a break light of a car, it should be semi luminessent when the lights are on and really bright when using the break. The front turn sigs are semibright when not in use and bright when engaged. Even had a guy pull up at a stop light on the way home and tell me the rear lights are out.

"Brake" lights.......not break! So what you are saying is that your taillight is not working?.....and that part only comes on when the brakes are applied?

My tail light comes on with ignition as well as the plate illuminator. The rear amber turn signals only come on when switched. However the front ambers are on with running lights and brighten/flash when switched. This seems pretty standard.

^^^^^ It is exactly the way they are suppose to work. As I tried to explain in the previous post.....rear lighting of any kind that stays on all the time...must be RED, as per Federal standards. The exception to that is the license plate light. Turn signals, which are many times amber in color, CANNOT be on steady.......like the front ones. I've seen Harleys and some different cruisers that have RED turn signals that are illuminated all the time, and then flash when the turn signal is applied, but again, they are not amber, they are Red.

Went to the dealership yesterday evening. They had a look at it and there is a faulty circuit board. The part of the circuit board inside the light housing that turns on the daytime runners ( ei; brake running light ) when the key is turned on has shit the bed. They took some pictures and ordered me a new one.
Actual brake light works so i can still ride in the daytime.

I'm not sure where you are from, but I've been riding motorcycles since 1971 and they have always been called taillights......you do the math. Your post is the very first time I've ever heard the phrase...."day time runners" except with reference to the front daytime running lights on a car/truck! Little thick are we? LOL!
