The FZ07 is about to be recalled for the too-short positive battery lead. Same as the MT07 recall. I received a call from my dealer today even though I have not yet got anything in the mail. He said he would order the parts. He also said it's a quick fix so I wouldn't have to leave the bike. These recalls are handled much faster than warranty work. The reason for that is that the dealer knows exactly what the problem is, how to fix it, how long it will take to fix, and they also know they will get paid well for it. I still don't know if it is all the FZ07s but I think it is.

Probably, but I don't have it. Usually, they send the recall notices out to customers all at the same time and have already notified the dealers by that time, so if my dealer knows about it, yours should too. My dealer said he was calling so he could order the parts, so he not only got some notice from Yamaha, but Yamaha told the dealer what he needed to fix the problem. I think it's just a longer red battery wire that can be tucked around the battery rather than stick up, plus a faulty bracket replacement. I haven't been able to find anything about it on the internet yet. I will post the recall no. as soon as I get the notice. I'm surprised other people haven't been notified by their dealers.

It's a lot lighter than stock. ( 1.25 Lbs vs 7 Lbs )

Plenty strong enough to crank the bike, even in 40 deg. weather.

Larger one not needed and would be $ 50 more.

It's same battery the dealer gave me for my 1199 Panigale S model.
