I'm retarded but I'll just go ahead and ask anyway. +2 would give you more tq. But less top speed correct?? If that is correct what do you expect the predicted top speed would be with a +2 be??

I hear you, this thing feels like it's always running around in overdrive.
Uh, downshift to the correct gear to keep your RPM's up and there won't be an issue.........Cost = FREE!

And BTW........there are sprockets available for the FZ07 if you choose to go that way.

I have noticed in my 2,500ish miles on the bike that my bike prefers to be ran between the 5,200-6,300 rpm range while "cruising" so when I snap the throttle I get instant response. Is there any long term effects to my motor running the rpm that high all the time?? Or am I just going to lose mpg mostly?? I just enjoy the way the bike rides in the mid- high power band range. (5,200 - 8,500 rpm)

If you have nothing helpful to add to my thread then why are you posting in here?

Not what I'd expect out of a Mod...
If you spent as much time (actually, less time) doing a Google search for what you are looking for, you would already have your answer to the sprocket question. And, as far as adding nothing helpful to your thread......if I'm not mistaken, you didn't know that sprockets were available until I added that. You're welcome.

Only thing that comes up is crap on ebay and "sprocket center", which I've never heard of. That might be ok for you but it's not going on my bike.

Maybe I should reword my question.

Does anyone know of sprockets available from a reputable source?

Hypnotik..........here is a link to the sprocket center, that place that you said you knew nothing about. The reason that I'm posting it is because when I went to their website and read a bit about them, they've been around since 2001. I realize that's not as long as maybe some of the other more well known businesses, but to survive that length of time does mean that they are not just a recent fly by night business. I have had zero dealings with them personally, but you may want to check them out....they do have a 45 tooth 525 pitch sprocket for the FZ07. They also have a series called the Superlite and those are available for the FZ07 in 43T, 45T, and 47T in the 525 pitch size.

Would going to an inverted chain drive be possible on our bikes? Im a chysler apprentice tech, and i know we use inverted tooth timing chains vs roller because of the greatly increased strength, wear resistance and lack of excessive noise while running. Would it be a viable solution for our bikes?
