Tank Bag Install

Well, this is the first bike I've had to "install" a tank bag, but that's what happens with plastic gas tank fairings. I had to remove both sides - which was fairly easy. Then routed the staps. It came with suction cups, but they won't reach due to the black protector thing. It's not big deal though - they aren't necessary. The straps hold very tightly. I haven't test rode it yet, but I'm confident it'll ride fine. If I run into problems I'll update. Oh, and I removed the useless magnets.

I like having the convenience of a tank bag to hold essentials: wallet, cell phone, toilet paper (I'm a gal), and whatever else. This one is small enough to hold all that, and a bit more. It comes off at the clip staps, or via a zipper. It has a strap to carry on the go. Comes with a rain cover. It also has a gps holder that props up which is neat, but I'm using it to hold my huge ass cell phone (samsung note3). It also has ports to run a charging cable, and when I install mine I'll be routing that through there somehow.

Hello,
I've got for Christmas an awesome magnetic tank bag from Hepco & Becker.
Once it is installed it takes 3 seconds to put it on or off. The initial installation is fairly easy. The tank ring itself took 5 min (three screws) to install. The bag was a little bit more tricky, you have to drill 4 holes in the bag to install the magnets. The total was about 30 min max.
My wife ordered the bag at MotoMachines.com, the bag in the pictures below is the medium size one.

Hi Snoopy!

The tank bag looks great, first time I've actually seen one mounted on an FZ-07.

Would you mind if I used one ore two of those pictures to post on our Facebook page?

Thanks!

Hello MotoMachines - be my guest, no problem.
I really like the bag and how easy it is to put it on or take it off, literally 3 seconds.
I used it on the freeway going 70+ mph, and it is better attached than many bags with straps.... great solution.

That's great to hear. Glad you the Lock-it Tank Ring system!

Looks good, what model bags are these?
Thanks Layback. Looks like some good info there.

BPJ, I can fit a bike more easily in the back of my 4 Runner, it would be legal on gated / closed roads, and I wouldnt need a special license for it like a motorcycle.

This looks good.
