Rode The Tail of the Dragon this eveing! First time on this bike! Handles like a dream! Little traffic, cool weather on the mountain, and a smooth bike made for a (semi) great ride.

Wittiness a horrid crash. Some ass hole on a KTM was flying, passing unsafely, and in the other lane a lot. He tried to pass a Honda S2000, and crashed into a woman in the other lane. Both were hurt pretty bad. LifeStar (helicopter) was called for. It shows you how fast shit can go wrong. It also shows that it's usually an ass hole flying in wrong lanes that screws moto riding for everyone else. The most important rule on the Dragon? STAY IN YOUR LANE.

It was a great ride aside from that.

Ah man, that's an awesome ride. I was there a few years back in my Mazda. Fun!!! Enough said. But yeah, some people take it way too far despite all the history. I can't imagine trying to tame that road on two wheels though. Props to you. I think I might need another 2-3 years before I'm ready for that one.
It's not that bad if you're a local, and ride it ever so often. You'd get used to it, and then like the rest of the locals you'd avoid it. ;-)

You have some good lean going on those are good pictures. We have some good twisties where I live but nothing like the Dragon. I bought this bike for the agility and it looks to real stable so far. I am moving to Crete and this will be my "Car" while I am there similar to the Dragon all up hill down hill curvy. I plan on doing some GoPro when I get there on some weekend country rides.

Thanks man! She's a solid bike, that's for sure. For my first run on The Dragon with her I was pleased. I do much better on lean radius on other roads around here, like The Devil's Triangle. The Dragon is a bit aggressive for me to really push myself on, and it does not forgive mistakes, so I try to not be extra aggressive there.

It's awesome you're planning on using your bike as your main transport. I used to do this as well when I didn't have a toddler. :-D Load some videos when you get some good ones! I love checking out new roads, scenery, and different riding techniques.

Whoa! I know nothing about a Women's Sportbike Rally. Please, fill me in on the details. I would be thrilled to meet some other female riders. Hook me up with some details please.
Wow! I wish I had known sooner. We will be out of town during this time. Maybe next year for sure! Thanks for the info, and invite.
