I don't think age ever matter on what bike you ride just ride what you like and enjoy what you likewell I only put 26 miles on it, it started to rain hard got home just in time.
I can tell you this bike was so fun to ride. last bike I rode was a 1998 Suzuki dr 400 enduro off road.
there's a huge differents in power and handling its going to take some time for me, its my first road bike.
im 51 years old I feel a little odd riding a bike like this at my age. my friend ride Harleys.
but im having funill see if I get time ill take some photos? its all stock!
only problem when I ride with the Harleys I cant hear my own bike drives me crazyGood for you man! I can imagine that the power differential is "noticeable." HAHA!
I applaud you for getting on the 07 instead of a Harley like all of your buddies! Go your own way man!
If you've had 29 years away from motorcycle riding, do yourself a favor and sign up for the MSF class and experience the basics again. 29 years is a loooong time away from anything, much less something like riding a motorcycle. Your statement of "almost afraid of it" tells me that you really need to do the MSF class. This is my first bike in 29years! (1985 Honda VF500F blue/white). Actually passed PA learners permit on Thursday .
Never had an actual license. Anyway got to test ride a red FZ-07 in dealership parking lot. Astonishing powerful!
Taking it home Tuesday hopefully. Gonna need lots of practice, I'm almost afraid of it.

This statement is so wrong. Being away from something for 29 years, especially riding a motorcycle is not to be taken lightly. Just one out of practice, being nervous, inexperienced mistake could end his riding for a long time or maybe even forever. He needs to take the MSF class and slowly get back into riding by putting some seat time on the bike with the proper riding habits that are taught during the class. Your advice is less than good.its like riding a bike it will come back in a few minutes and your fairs will be over.
