Thanks for posting that up. The FZ07 at our house is my wife's bike and I haven't read through the manual yet.....probably need to take the time and do that! I appreciate the info.

doublethreat the manual also talks about a 12 volt outlet under the tank panels. I would like your take on what that is and the cable/wire under the passenger seat. Thanks
I still haven't read through the FZ07 owner's manual yet, but if it is anything like the FZ09, the 12V outlet/plug assembly is provided there for someone to be able to tap into (you have to buy the matching plug) or cut it off and splice wires, for a very low current device such as a GPS or cell phone, etc. The one on the FZ09 is a switched power point and fused at 2 Amps. By switched, that means that when the key is on or the engine is running (I forget which way), there is power there. When the key is off, there is no power. As far as the plug assembly under the seat, again, I haven't read the book yet but member K....C.... stated that it was for a Yamaha diagnosis computer.
