The FZ07 is probably plenty of bike for me. I also like the seat arrangement better and it just seems to look a bit cooler in that side profile.

However, what is the exhaust on the 09 in that picture? I like where it terminates.

I would like to take the 09 motor and put it on a 07 bike.

Easy choice for me. I call myself 5'7" so the taller seat in the 09 won't work for me. I really do not like the added weight either. I like my sport bikes fast and light with lower seats.

i test rode both in the same day and the Fz 07 is way better yes we dont have the front adjustable suspension and lower horse power but this bike was way easier to ride and the power is plenty on this bike, to over take the traffic and to commute plus like 15 mpg more than the 09. not say the 09 is not a great bike but you got to ask yourself how many time of the day you really going to use the full power of it and not to mention without getting pull over lol

Ditto here! Drove both yesterday and although I liked the 09, I found the 07 to be much more user friendly and not as "twitchy" on the throttle I'm sure you get used to the throttle, and having had really fast bikes, I found the 07 to be what I think , a much better bike for 90% of my riding. I found the 07 to be really easy to wheelie in both 1st and 2nd gear. Glad I rode the 07 last because the yamaha demo days people caught me Lofting the front wheel and ended my ride as we pulled back in to the dealership. I walked inside, traded my bike and rode out with a Red 07. I think it will be a very good all around daily driver!

I have been drooling over the 09 for a year now, but I recently got to sit on both and I want the 07 now!

I was looking at the 09 till I talked to my buds that had had the 09 and none of them liked them very much after having
them for a while. They mentioned twitchy throttle and vibration. Any way I listened and found a 07 with 355 miles not far
away from my home. I'm 5'6" and am digging being able to touch the ground also.

I would go with the FZ-07 due to its aggressive shape and awesome performance.
