Yoshimura Full exhaust

I just installed the full yoshimura exhaust, it sounds great. Although, it needs a power commander for sure, you will feel your bike loose a little low end torque. But it sounds amazing and you will not get off your bike. Has anyone installed the same exhaust? If so how long have you been running it for without a power commander ??

Ive had it for a week now, and i love it. Ive spoken with yoshimura about the fuel controller situation, they recommend running it on just the stock ecu unless you plan on taking it to a track. Im looking at getting a bazzaz zfi but have yet to hear back from them if they have a map available for our exhaust. The zfi comes with an akropovic map available from what their website says, so im quite hopeful for the yoshimura system

Dobeck Performance has a fuel controller (EJK) for $250 with fuel maps for several exhaust set ups, if you are a forum member the other fz07 forums you get a $25 discount.

Yea I installed it over the weekends, the difference is day and night, its very smooth on the throttle now, no more jerkiness, more power and runs better than stock.

Yes i do, best sounding exhaust for the fz-07 in my opinion

I just bough the yoshi exhaust, k&n, and power commander and they (power commander) recommended using their #M22-065-008 tune for a starting point. That is the akra full exhaust with the DNA filter. I know it won't be exact, but it should be pretty close as back pressure on the exhaust should be pretty close between the exhausts. On my sled (Nytro), I run a map tune for a different exhaust and it is pretty much spot on. Does anyone have experience running the power commander with the yoshi? I have done quite an extensive google search and I haven't really found anything.

I have the Yoshimura exhaust on mine as well. Didn't really notice a loss in power. I have the DB killer in. I have the Dobeck Performance EJK ready to install as soon as I have a couple hours where I know I won't be riding. Without it, I feel that there's quite a bit of popping/backfire, but it is still amazing in every way. I'll put up a video of before and after once I get the EJK installed.

2 late for me now, I went and ordered my self a IXIL L3XB black hyperlow pipe. Yoshimura would just be way too expensive with everything and also super illegal on streets here in little Sweden.

Lucius, still looking forward to these videos so hopefully you'll have the time for that soon.

How do you like that exhaust?? Been searching exhausts like crazy, I originally was set in the two brothers exhaust until I seen this system , now I'm stuck and don't know what to do!

Ooh man I know what you're going through haha maaaan! Huge available product range doesn't make it an easy choice and at the same time I enjoyed the hunt for new exhaust

Really happy with Ixil now, great looking and sounds amazing. I even kept it with DB-killers because its loud enough as it is hehe amazing. Basically, it makes people turn heads and really curious types even goes down on the knees just to check the exhaust and see what it is. Its two pipes out, looks really cool

At first the bike was acting out and used about 6 or as best 5.5L/100km and now it has calm down and is using as before 4.5 or 5L as with atock exhaust. Possibly break in period or something but it also sounds even better now few weeks after I istalled it.

Have to say that the upgrade was really easy, even for me I did it with my herniated disc in lower back and one arm on the ground holding up my body and other exhaust hehe No joke, fitting took me more than a hour and to remove stock less than 10min.
Sounds scary and makes smaller kids jump, cover their little ears and look scared but mommys love it hehe. Buy

How much was the exhaust. I live in Cali so I'm not super concerned about shipping costs. I just picked up my bike and I like it the way it is with the exception that it sounds like a damn moped....

A lot of riders worry about "popping" after they go to an aftermarket exhaust, especially if it's quite a bit louder than the OEM. With the stock exhaust, which is very quiet on the FZ07, there is a lot of the same popping going on, usually under deceleration, but you can't hear it. I wouldn't be too worried unless you think the local officials might be offended.

Hey guys new to the forum. So I've been trying to do extensive research to find the answer to this question. Can I damage my fz by running the yoshimura full without a fuel controller or power commander? I will get a fuel controller eventually but I'm tired of my sewing machine. And after exhaust I was gonna get penske suspension. Just trying to figure out best way to go about it.
